1. Project Overview
Domain: TCU software development for 6-Speed Hybrid Transmission Control Unit (TCU)
Process Framework: ASPICE-based development targeting Capability Level 2
Scope: Upper V (SYS.2, SYS.3, SWE.1, SWE.2)
Scale: Large-scale development with ~18,000 requirements
Environment: Multi-release (Official / Engineering / Product Development Release)
Engagement Model: Fixed-price outsourcing project with strict scope and cost control
2. Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with customer stakeholders, onsite teams, and cross-functional development groups to clarify requirements and drive technical discussions.
Lead requirement analysis, architecture design, and Model-Based Development of complex automotive software components and subsystems.
Ensure software quality, compliance, and timely delivery across the full software development lifecycle.
Define and maintain modeling guidelines, coding standards, and best practices for Model-Based Design.
Conduct design reviews, model reviews, and technical assessments to ensure compliance with project and customer requirements.
Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex system/software issues.
Drive model verification and validation activities (MIL, SIL, PIL) and support HIL testing.
Support estimations, technical proposals, and project planning activities.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical coaching and knowledge sharing.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives aligned with ASPICE, Functional Safety, and customer-specific standards.
Collaborate with global teams and participate in customer meetings, technical workshops, and design reviews.
3. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
2+ years (Middle); 4-5 + years (Senior) of experience in automotive embedded software development.
2+ years of hands-on experience in Model-Based Design using MATLAB/Simulink and related toolboxes.
Strong expertise in Embedded C programming and code generation workflows.
In-depth experience in software architecture and design for real-time embedded systems.
Proven experience with model verification and validation (MIL, SIL, PIL, HIL).
Strong debugging and diagnostic skills using automotive tools (Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, CAPL).
Solid understanding of automotive software lifecycle and V-model.
Experience leading technical tasks, coordinating small teams, or acting as a technical focal point.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Customer-oriented mindset with ability to work under tight schedules and changing priorities.
4. Nice-to-Have Skills
Good English communication skills for direct customer interaction.
Experience working with Japanese customers and global development teams.
Strong knowledge of ASPICE processes and assessments.
Experience in Functional Safety (ISO 26262).
Understanding of AUTOSAR architecture and development processes.
Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SOME/IP, DoIP).
Knowledge of cybersecurity standards (ISO/SAE 21434).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and model/code quality tools.
Hands-on experience in automotive domains (BCM, ADAS, Powertrain, Chassis, EV/HEV, Body Electronics, Thermal Management).
Experience reviewing technical specifications, creating architecture documentation, and supporting customer audits.
Special Note: Engineers will apply via HCM and work in Danang for 6 months to support project transfer.
